Although you will come across a large number of car hire companies offering car hire at Milan Bergamo Airport, only a few of them actually have branches within the Airport Terminal. These are obviously the easiest and most convenient ones to deal with, as you can collect your luggage and then complete the paperwork at the desk and collect your car from outside the airport terminal building.

Hiring a Car in Bergamo

There are a few driving regulations you should be aware of if you are planning on hiring a car from Bergamo Airport. Italy in general has a good road system with an extensive network of motorways linking all four corners of the country. Road surfaces are generally well maintained as most motorways in Italy charge a toll for driving on them. These tolls can be paid in cash or with a credit card, and if you intend to do a lot of motorway driving you might consider buying a toll card which comes in denominations from €25 up to €75.

If you possess a full driving licence from an EU country then you can drive in Italy. If you have a driving licence from a country outside of the EU then you should obtain an international driving permit. In addition to your licence you should also carry all the car hire documentation with you in the car at all times as If you don’t and you are stopped while driving in Italy it could cause you undue delays and problems.

The drink driving law in Italy has a very low threshold of tolerance for drink driving and just 0.05 % blood alcohol level is enough to get you into serious trouble with the police. (more…)

When you are looking for car hire, it doesn’t always mean that you want an economy vehicle or the cheapest vehicle on the list. In fact, there could be times when you want a specific vehicle, and sports car hire has become quite popular within rentals today.

Vehicle hire is the rental of a vehicle for short-term, and if you are getting the lowest costing car hire, you can expect a typical everyday economy vehicle that saves on gas and space. At the same time, the next mode up could be a bit larger and a bit more desirable, but you aren’t really getting a vehicle that has any style or grace. Also, you can expect to have a vehicle that isn’t sporty at all unless you are requesting it.

When you hire a sports car for a temporary time, you are able to enjoy the luxury and class that is given to those behind the wheel of popular sports vehicles today. Whether you are looking for a car that offers a higher MPG rating or one that has a sporty design that is top demand this year, you want to get a sports vehicle that is going to meet your needs and wants. After all, you are paying the ticket, so why not get the vehicle that you really want to drive?

Sports car hire is going to give you freedom and fun from your short-term vehicle accommodations, and if the event is right, you can really make a name for yourself. The thing is that most people are getting car hire services in order to meet their transportation demands for some event or travel, and if you want to make the event or travel as fun and sporty as possible, a sports car is going to be a great choice. You can let the wind fly through your hair, even if you are returning the car later on. (more…)

Recreational vehicle (RV) owners love to spend time on the open road. One benefit to these vehicles is the large windshield and windows that let the driver and occupants have a good view of the scenery they pass while traveling. When this glass gets damaged, it is necessary to find a local auto glass shop that is skilled at replacing and repairing RV windows and windshields.

When you purchase an RV, you are doing so because you want to travel and see the country. RV owners tend to take their vehicles out on the road for weeks at a time and travel hundreds or thousands of miles. Some drivers prefer to use large highways to get to their destinations while others enjoy smaller roads that take them more of a scenic route. No matter how you travel, debris can fly up from the road and cause chips, scratches, or cracks on your windshield or windows.

Just like your automobile glass, small chips on your RV glass can grow into large cracks. Changes in temperatures and rough driving conditions can cause a small chip to spread into a crack. If you seek assistance early, while the chip is still small, it can usually be repaired. Repairing a chip rather than replacing a windshield is much more cost effective. The repaired area will be virtually unnoticeable and your glass is restored to good working condition.

With so much time spent on the road, safety is of upmost concern for RV drivers. These vehicles are extremely large and take a lot of concentration and experience to drive safely. The windows, windshield, and mirrors on your vehicle are essential for a clear view of the road. Large cracks in the glass can impair your vision, putting you, your passengers, and other drivers in danger. Sunlight reflecting off of damaged glass can temporarily blind you, making it impossible to have a good view of your surroundings. All damaged areas on your RV glass should be repaired before you head out on the road to improve the safety of your vehicle. If damage should occur while traveling, you should stop and get it repaired as soon as possible. (more…)
